We had a great time this year with valentine crafts. Parkey and I planned a play/activity time with two of her little girlfriends.
The agenda was as follows.
1. Ice cookies, and add sprinkles. Eat left over icing off knife, then put knife directly back into the icing container to retrieve more for licking. Repeat. No worries, its only RSV season.
2.Color on pink paper, add in some cutting and glitter glue and voila, a valentine visual delight.
3. Eat more iced cookies.
4. Make foam lady bug clothes pins.
5. Glue and stick together valentine princess wands.
6. By this point, some of the crew had just moved onto a spoonful of icing with sprinkles on top.
7.Play princess dress up, and run around working the sugar out of their little bodies.

All that remained of the play date.
I feel like I need to go on the record and say that not every day, nor every play date is this involved. We have plenty of pajama and sesame street days.
The rest of the day was great as well. I feel that I love my house the most when it is full of friends and squeely children and laughter, just fellowshiping together. I seem to not notice all the things on my to do list to feel comfortable enough to have others over.
We had some other friends stop by after lunch and stayed and played for a while. Then came back, along with a few others, for dinner.
I am so thankful for my friendships, especially when they don't care to come over for casual chili dinners, and just hang out, no pressure and no pretense. I feel that this is when we are able to learn about and love one another the most. Yes, our day was busy, but it filled my heart to the brim.
Praise the Lord for his provision and care for our hearts.
