Yesterday was a fun filled day with my fantastically great friend Olivia and her two boys.
The kids play, play, played and where exhausted at the end of the day, which was great for the mom's. I guess that's what 6 hours of play time will do to a tiny.
Here are a few pictures of one of the most random play things, but they were a huge hit for all the kids. We have been saving paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls for our garden. (I think were planting the seeds and then placing these in the dirt vertically to protect and support.) I had pulled them out of the pantry, where we were saving them and then the playing began.
As you can probably guess SP is pretending to be a bug of some sorts. Notice all that mess in the background, I didn't even wince at displaying this picture, because to me, all that mess means a house full of happy children. Well, that and two babies who thought playing with TP rolls meant eating them, and then crawling away as fast as possible while a mom chased them down and dug it out of that babies mouth. A fun game for them, a not so fun game for me.

Here they are being used at binoculars.Unfortunately, all the pictures of the other kids were not very good, blurry and unfortunate faces were made. Not that these are ace pro, but a good representation of what went on.
On the in between, Olivia and I worked on her new sewing machine, which was great fun! Her mom had some lady give her a machine, and she in turn gave it to Liv's. So we just spent some time working it all out.Olivia has a friend who is adopting a baby from Africa, and was having a garage/bake sale to raise some much needed funds. Have you all looked into adoption? It isn't an inexpensive endeavor at all, upwards of 20K! I had all these left over bananas that the Mister brought home from his boy weekend and couldn't think of a better cause than to help with the bake sale. I baked muffins and little loaves, and hoped and prayed for this little boys life, and the blessing of a family that was coming his way. If you are in there area of town today, stop on by and pick up a few muffins, and support a fantastic cause. And if not, pray for them to have a successful endeavor this weekend.

I love playdates with good friends(Olivia and the boys). What better way to spend the day than being creative, sewing, helping towards a great cause and having a house that kids can play and be messy. Just makes me smile!
oh yay! we had a great time! thanks for teaching me how to use my sewing machine. can't wait to create something! and from what i hear the muffins were a hit!
I love that u helped Livs w/ her sewing machine AND created banana bread to give away AND let the kids have a blast and be messy. You're Martha Stewart with a twist of charity and authenticity(pretty sure she wouldn't allow mess!) This whole scene makes me smile too. I love u friend!
(glad we didn't come and spread any love-Ty developed pink eye Tr night, Lyds and Luke with fevers Fri and Sun- a regular party with us too! good times.)
